My bff's little baby is turning one, oh how time flies. I made this simple but cute card for Brayden - notice how the ink and cardstock for each animal matches? The stamp set is called Fox and Friends from Stampin' Up and the colours used are from the 2011-2013 In Colours line along with Early Espresso, my go-to colour for everything. I hope he and parents all like it!
Thank you for visiting my blog. Here you'll find some of the creations I've made for fun, for friends, and for sale. Hope you like them!

5 minute card
It ALWAYS takes longer than it looks, but you can see the simplicity of this card, and how it could be adapted for any occasion just by changing up the colours and sentiments.
In this particular case the card was for N's niece who was just born today! Of course, I couldn't give up the chance to use my Petite Pairs stamp set. Congrats to the parents and to the new aunt N!

Welcome Baby Boy!
Most of the cards I make are for women, and even when it comes to wedding cards, I am allowed to make them as girly as I want. So when my sister asked me for a card for a baby boy, I struggled for a bit. Surely any baby girl card could be remade as a baby boy card by changing the colour scheme, but there's something about the cutesy patterned paper available for girls that just makes the cards look that much cuter.
So alas I made her this simple card. Not too shabby, eh?

Kiddie Frames
I've seen a lot of DIY frames that people have made, both elegant and cute, to spice up their homes so I decided that my nephew needs something like this too! Since then I've made them for several other babies (sets of 2 or 3 frames), and even had a request for a set. Check out the different animals, with and without words on the mat.

Baby Shower Card
Here's a cute card I made for a baby shower. For some reason it took much longer to make despite it looking fairly straight forward.

Pooh in a jar
...that would be Winnie the Pooh inside a honey jar! This card was made for a baby, and her Chinese name was cut out and placed on the outside of the card. A metallic brad holds this "twist and turn" card together. To avoid being too neutral in colour, the bottom layer was cut out in red. I've also traced the edges of the card which I think makes it less plain overall.

Cute onesies cards
Whether you're looking for a card for a baby shower, for welcoming a baby, or any other baby event, why not do a onesies card? Onesies cards can be just as cute as onesies themselves. I've decorated my onesies cards with patterned paper, and a small baby-related pattern on the belly. We could also do sparkles, ribbons, buttons, rattles, you name it. You may have noticed that I also like to have messages inside the cards.

My other obsession: Card Making
I picked up this hobby mainly because I started to look for more unique greeting cards instead of always buying the same ones that I like to the 7 or 8 weddings that I go to a year! But of course I've ventured into birthday cards, baby shower cards, and kids cards. I even did some Christmas ones too.
Here's one I made for someone who ordered a card for the birth of a baby, with the requirement of being purple. The card is standing on the white envelope with 2 onesies at the bottom right corner. Makes the envelope a bit less boring.
Next up: Easter!
