To add a touch of summer, these bracelets were made with a big flower as the focal point. While I usually use crystals or glass beads, adding a different texture to the mix really livens things up. The white version makes the overall look really elegant and polished, while the purple version is more of a fun look. To compliment it, I've added a touch of black chains to one side to make it asymmetrical. Did I mention I like asymmetry in jewelry?

Thank you for visiting my blog. Here you'll find some of the creations I've made for fun, for friends, and for sale. Hope you like them!

Tis the season to showoff your ankles!
I was asked to make an anklet for someone who will be trekking in flip flops all week while in Vegas. While I've never made nor worn one before, my feeling is that anklets should be simple and not so dangly to avoid tripping. Hmm, from the picture it does look a bit plain, but on the foot it looked great so I made a similar one for myself! I hope she likes it!

Dramatic lace birthday card
I say dramatic purely because of the colours I chose, but the design itself could definitely be mellowed out by choosing different colours. The "lace" at the bottom were a pain to do but I think it turned out quite well.
And I'm loving the use of ribbons for cards.

A wedding card on 2 hours' notice
I didn't think I could actually pull this off on little or no notice - from the design to the computer file to the actual cutting! But she's my favourite customer and I always do what I can to make my customers happy ;)
Here's the card I put together for her. The card base was on silver/grey shimmery cardstock, and I pasted a purple damask paper on top to add a touch of elegance.
Did you notice the pearl on the bride's veil and the rhinestone on her gown?

Crystal cluster earring
What style of earrings would be more versatile than the cluster earring? This earring was made with a pink/purple theme and a silver leaf at the bottom for a casual summery look. For a more elegant look, I'd opt for darker tan and grey crystals with a teardrop crystal at the bottom.

Happy Birthday, G!
For G's birthday I made this blue + purple crystal bracelet. It's much more sparkly than the pictures suggest, and she loves sparkly!

The solution to plain sweaters
In this freezing, cold, gloomy season I find myself buying a lot of long plain sweaters. I'm not sure if it's because it's so gloomy out that I don't have an urge for fancy clothing or whether I'm just cycling back to "basic clothing". But basic doesn't have to be boring, right?
So my latest addiction is long necklaces. They really do wonders to basic clothing. Here's an example of one that I made for my friend. She's not into fancy jewelry so I've kept it simple with the focal point being the main dangling purple pendant, and added some small embellishments on the chain like a pearl, crystal, leaf, heart, and a flower. Perfect for those who don't like big jewelry.

Floral chain bracelet
This bracelet was made at someone's request for a "non-girly" bracelet. I can't say that it is non-girly, but I still liked the way it turned out. I might even make one for myself, although the Swarovski flower was a pain to make. I double chained the bracelet to make it look less skimpy, and added some bicones throughout the bracelet so it is not so boring. Lastly, the clasp was carefully chosen to be a flower as well, in keeping with the theme.
