Shadow wedding card

I love it when I'm asked to make something without any restrictions.  In this case, all T asked for was a wedding card and he was incredibly pleased with this:

This gate card was kept closed with a jacket with the couple's name.
This is what it looks like without the name jacket.
And opened up.

Tis the season to showoff your ankles!

I was asked to make an anklet for someone who will be trekking in flip flops all week while in Vegas. While I've never made nor worn one before, my feeling is that anklets should be simple and not so dangly to avoid tripping. Hmm, from the picture it does look a bit plain, but on the foot it looked great so I made a similar one for myself! I hope she likes it!

"Traditional" Mother's Day cards

I admit I've slacked off in posting but I certainly haven't slacked in my card and jewelry making.

Here's a floral Mother's Day card fit for a more "traditional" mom, or one that likes flowers! To counteract the busy design, I've left the interior blank, but we could always add something there too if you'd like.

Another girly design I've put together is actually quite versatile - it could easily be used as a wedding card, birthday card, you name it. I've left space on the front of the card to write the recipient's name, and the inside says "Happy Mother's Day" in Chinese.

Porcelain flower earrings

These earrings are made with the same porcelain flower as in this bracelet, but smaller. I just love the flower!

Did you see the matching bracelet below?

Porcelain flower crystal bracelet

I've been sick for the past two days and didn't feel like moving. What better activity than to make some jewelry? Little did I know that things take three times as long when you're sick.

Here's a sparkly crystal bracelet mostly in clear but also with pink and grey accents. The main focus of course is the white porcelain flower. The first two pictures are a bit washed out, but you can see the colours better in the last picture.

I also made a pair of matching earrings, but with darker pink crystals so they stand out.

Pink crystal hoop earrings

These earrings were made to go with the Irresistable sparkle bracelet. I've used the same large pink crystal with the smaller clear and pink ones up top. If you prefer a simpler version, what about sans smaller crystals?

Four-leaf clover good luck card

This was ordered for someone who is leaving for Japan for a new job, so I thought it was fitting to add "Good Luck" in Japanese. The pink ribbon and text add a little "girly" touch to it. I've also added a strip of the same patterned paper inside to tie things together.

Crystal cluster earring

What style of earrings would be more versatile than the cluster earring? This earring was made with a pink/purple theme and a silver leaf at the bottom for a casual summery look. For a more elegant look, I'd opt for darker tan and grey crystals with a teardrop crystal at the bottom.

I've also shown a simpler version without the leaf below.

Irresistable sparkle

I've had many compliments and repeated orders on this sparkly bracelet. The silver and the pink compliment each other so well! If you're not a pink kinda gal, what about gun metal grey or a deep purple?

See the earrings that go with this bracelet.

Turquoise + pink bracelet

This was made for friend as kind of a Christmas present. The turquoise colour gives this bracelet a casual feeling while the crystals add elegance to it. There is a extension at the end, so the bracelet is adjustable and there is a crystal dangling from it. I love the pink teardrop crystals (light and medium pink). They're also the same ones I made the "simple dangling earrings" with.

Leaf pendant glass bead necklace

It's only February but I can't resist posting more spring/summer themed jewelry. Can you tell I'm anxious for warmer weather, "warmer" jewelry?

As a kid I remember wearing jewelry made of plastic beads that look similar to these glass beads. Who would have known I'd fall in love with them again! I've added some small detailing throughout the necklace (beads, leaves), and attached a big leaf as the pendant. The good thing about pendants is you can change them with relative ease anytime you want.

Crystal flower ring

One of my early creations was this ring: I created the look of a flower with crystals acting as the petals and a pearl or glass ball in the middle. The band of the ring was put together using glass seed beads.

I've made one for my sister in red+pink, and one for my sister-in-law in blue+pink.

Silver and blue necklace + bracelet set

I made this set for my mom some time ago and it's her "go-to" set when she attends parties. Despite having more silver than crystals, it's actually quite sparkly. My pictures don't do it justice.

I've contrasted a darker blue crystal with a light pink (though it almost looks clear in my washed-out photos). I think the colour combination works quite well. Dark purple and light pink would work too, as would greens and yellows, if you would like a less formal, more spring-like look.

Check out the single stranded version below.

Simple dangling earrings

Simple, yet so pretty! Each earring is made of 2 pear-shaped crystal, one light pink and one dark pink. I love that they're pretty enough to wear with dresses yet simple enough to go with jeans. Did I tell you pink is my favourite colour? So you'll be seeing lots of pinks (and purples!)

Links-inspired pearl and crystal bracelet

This is requested by a friend who found a picture of a Links bracelet (with pearls) that she liked. We changed it up a bit to give it some colour - none other than pink - and in crystal instead of more pearls. I think it turned out great. I also opted for a toggle clasp.

You can imagine all the different possible colour combinations of pearls and/or crystals that you can incorporate into this simple yet versatile design!

Floral chain bracelet

This bracelet was made at someone's request for a "non-girly" bracelet. I can't say that it is non-girly, but I still liked the way it turned out. I might even make one for myself, although the Swarovski flower was a pain to make. I double chained the bracelet to make it look less skimpy, and added some bicones throughout the bracelet so it is not so boring. Lastly, the clasp was carefully chosen to be a flower as well, in keeping with the theme.
