I have to admit, I wasn't in love with the Stampin' Up Aviary stamp set when I first saw it in the catalog, but after seeing what magic B did with it, I fell in love. Aren't these little birdies and bird cages so cute? I put them to use on a birthday card here but they will work on cards for any occasions. I might just have to buy this stamp set now!
Thank you for visiting my blog. Here you'll find some of the creations I've made for fun, for friends, and for sale. Hope you like them!

Congrats Daisy & Christian!
Hubby's cousin got married overseas, and while we weren't able to attend, I did make a couple of cards for Hubby's family to bring with them there.
A more romantic card, for his family to give:

Cute little love birds
Here's the other card I made for the same couple, requested by someone else. I took a completely different approach and made this card cute. Do you recognize these birds from a previous card?

Birdcages
Does anyone know why birdcages are used at weddings? Because they imply a sense of being trapped after marriage, or because they imply love birds? I never really knew but used one nonetheless at my own wedding!
But regardless of their real meaning, birdcages are often seen on wedding cards, so I thought I would make my own version of it.

Happy 3rd Anniversary
...to my sister and brother-in-law. My sister placed an order for a "premium package card" (did I have a premium package?!) and no other instructions were given. Since my nephew loves to go out to the yard to look at birds, I thought I'd make them a card with 3 birds nested on a house (they were looking for a new house at the time). I'm so glad they love it!
I also made another version of the card using the piece that was cut out from the pink frame. I think I kinda like the first version better. What do you think?
